It happened again. We had a blast of a time at the #lambtwtup this time around with old and new Twitter friends. The first Al-Rawsha tweetup was done sometime last year during the fasting month with just about 9 of us. But this time around, the #lambtwtup was even bigger and more friends showed up…about 25+- of us. It was an awesome feeling meeting up with new friends (though we may know some for quite a while already virtually on Twitter, but most of us met for the first time in reality last night).

This was what I ordered. Roasted whole chicken with bread. Definitely one of the best roast chicken I have ever tasted.

And this was how it looked like, about 1 hour later. I usually eat quite fast, but I did lots of photo taking and chit-chatting with the guys in between munching.

I certainly had a great time dining on the food there, so did everyone else. As usual, Lebanese food always comes in HUGE portions. So for one person to finish a meal, would usually take a while. Hence why we all stayed on till late.

What more and you ask for? Good food, great company. We all left the place with good warm feeling and full tummy.

So, what tweetup shall it be next? Someone suggested SalsaTwtup at @ronny1976’s dance studio. Yes, Salsa, as in the dance, not the food dipping. What say you?

The weekend is here again, and yet I’m in the office writing this blog entry. I work on Saturdays, but today I finally have some time off from work as most of my tasks are almost done. The student convocation is next month, and so is the Annual Dinner & Dance. I have many more things to get done until then. Come to think of it, I need to buy new shirts and shoe for that. I am in need for new clothes anyway, ok la then.

It has been raining for the past few days, maybe for almost 2 weeks already. Some say the “winter” season is here in KL. It does seems much cooler nowadays, especially at night. The water is freezing cold whenever I take my shower in the morning. And no, I don’t have a water heater and I’m too lazy to boil water. Whatever it is, I’m loving the cooler weather that we’re having now, but not good if I’m going out for photoshoot.

Speaking of that, I do have many things to shoot, or rather, I want to find some nice location for a photoshoot. It’s been a while since I capture anything other than some student photos for the college. There are a few photography contest that is going on right now, all I need to do is to go out shooting. Where shall I go? Any nice place out there? One of the criteria is to find something that depicts 1Malaysia. Any photo that can describe as 1Malaysia, or unity, or anything along that line.

Okay, need to go out and find ideas. After all, I’m still an amateur photographer who is in learning mode. (Btw, I learnt something today that if you want to take really good resolution pictures, take it in RAW format. Then you edit from there.)

Off to the streets then.

I am an amateur, still in the learning process but I understand most of the techniques and concept of photography. I don’t have a dSLR camera, but I bought lots and lots of photography magazines just to learn a few tips here and there. I can safely say that I understand the meaning of aperture size (or depth of field), exposure level, focal point, macro shots, shutter speed, ISO level and so on.

So last night, I get to try it all out.

It’s not much, but I guess it was okay. Hey, it was my first try ok.

I’m so happy ^_^

The theme that night was beach wear or Hawaiian luau style. But the party supposed to start at 6pm which is still my working hours so I had to go there right from my office. Good thing the party actually started around 8pm, which is about the time I reached KL, thanks to the earlier rain and traffic jams.

As we stepped out of the lift, we saw Winnie and she immediately show us the way to the buffet line (right after our trip to the toilet). Seems that everyone has already started dinner so I thought I’d better get the food quick. There were roast lamb, grilled chicken chops, beef and chicken satay, spaghetti with bolognaise sauce, jacket potatoes and many other succulent dishes. Well, there goes my so called diet.

The evening was also include a Hawaiian themed life performances like fire twirlling baton thingie and hula dance.

And games included too.

In this game, two teams of 8 people must arrange whatever they are wearing on the floor in a straight line, the longest “line” wins. That guy took off his shirt to make longer line, how about girls?

Then, after a few more performances and lots of eating, it’s time to go home. But before that, we took more photos.

Well, the evening turns out great. Good atmosphere, great food and loads of thanks to Winnie for inviting us. And thanks for the awesome goody bags too, all 4 of `em. Errr….do invite us to more of these type of parties okay? Perhaps next time will be in Dorsett?
